Regulatory Officer
Regulatory Raw Material Liaison – 12 Month Fixed Term Role

Job Purpose
This 12-month fixed-term position focuses on ensuring compliance across our entire raw material palette. The role requires meticulous data integrity, policy adaptations, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain regulatory adherence within chemicals, naturals, and IFRA/REACH frameworks.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Data & Regulatory Compliance -Maintain precise regulatory information for all CPL supplied raw materials. -Ensure accurate, up-to-date data storage in compliance systems. -Facilitate the systematic addition of new raw materials to CPL’s palette.

Assessments & Audits -Conduct COSHH safety data evaluations for materials. -Quality-mark buying samples to confirm alignment with product specifications.

Regulatory Updates & Training -Overhaul and refine CPL regulatory procedures/policies for group-wide uniformity. -Handle IFRA and IOFI labelling updates. -Serve as an internal NAR in REACH compliance, identifying gaps and recommending solutions.

Risk & Sustainability Management -Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to prepare for filings. -Support RIFM surveys by compiling question-specific knowledge.

Responsible Sourcing & Sustainability -Interact with the sustainability team in assessing responsibly sourced materials. -Participate in tasters/benchmarking for corporate and regulatory thresholds.

Cross-Functional Coordination -Respond proactively to queries regarding CPL’s** raw material palette and compliance portfolio. -Provide training for team members as needed.

Other Duties -Execute any functional tasks related to regulatory compliance/filings and database management.
Required Skills & Attributes
- Preferred Qualification: Graduated in a scientific discipline would be a significant advantage.

Core Competencies -Exceptional attention to detail and time management. -Familiarity with legislative texts (REACH, IFRA, GHS, etc.) and ability to analyse policy changes. -Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with strong project management experience. -Fluid written/verbal communication skills for both internal and external context.
