What You'll Be Doing
Avon is looking for a Regulatory Operations Specialist to join our international R&D team on a maternity cover contract. In this role, you'll help ensure our products, claims, and packaging meet regulatory requirements across multiple markets while partnering with teams across EMEA and APAC.
As the Regulatory Operations Specialist, you'll support the regulatory compliance of Avon and partner brands across international markets. You'll review product labels, packaging artwork, marketing claims, and promotional materials to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. You'll manage product notifications for the EU and UK, provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams, and work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Sourcing, and external partners to support product launches and maintain uninterrupted supply. You'll also contribute to key regulatory and business projects that help deliver products to market efficiently and compliantly.

- Reviewing and approving product labels, artwork, ingredient listings, warnings, and usage instructions for regulatory compliance across EMEA markets.
- Assessing product and marketing claims for use across websites, promotional materials, training content, and digital assets.
- Managing EU and UK cosmetic product notifications and maintaining regulatory tracking systems.
- Supporting regulatory compliance activities related to REACH registration requirements and imported products.
- Partnering with Product Development, Marketing, Planning, Sourcing, and regional regulatory teams to support successful product launches.
- Providing regulatory information for websites, online retailers, distributors, and internal product information systems.
- Participating in cross-functional projects focused on product compliance, reformulations, artwork updates, and speed-to-market initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Cosmetics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of regulatory experience, ideally within cosmetics or consumer products.
- Understanding international cosmetic regulations, including EU and UK requirements; knowledge of REACH and other horizontal regulations is advantageous.
- Experience with medical devices, nutrition, or home fragrance products is a plus.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset with the confidence to work independently.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and an interest in using AI tools to support day-to-day work and projects.
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working in a diverse, matrixed, international environment.
