About the Role
We are looking for a Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our Finance team, leading the end-to-end management of statutory and prudential regulatory reporting obligations.
This role encompasses variety, visibility, and meaningful impact. You’ll be responsible for:
- Designing, executing, and maintaining robust control environments
- Ensuring audit readiness
- Mitigating operational or regulatory risks
- Continuously interpreting evolving regulatory requirements
- Driving the implementation of new reporting frameworks and automation tools
Key Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Interpretation & Horizon Scanning
- Review and interpret PRA, FCA, and broader regulatory impacts on reporting obligations, including statutory, prudential returns, and regulatory submissions.
- Clear translation of regulatory requirements into internal definitions, data needs, and reporting logic/methods.
- Maintain horizon scanning to stay ahead of regulatory change.
2. Regulatory Reporting Oversight & Delivery
- Supervise the production and submission of regulatory returns for PRA/FCA (and other bodies such as HMRC/O{NS}).
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in submissions.

3. Data Governance, Taxonomy & Definitions
- Develop and maintain a regulatory taxonomy/data dictionary, mapping regulatory definitions to internal data like a skilled SME.
- Ensure accuracy across all reporting frameworks (PRA, HMRC, ONS).
4. Systems, Data & External Provider Oversight
- Become the subject-matter expert for regulatory reporting systems, data architecture, and external providers.
5. Frameworks, Policies & Process Documentation
- Create, maintain, and update regulatory reporting policies, control frameworks, and documentation.
6. Control Environment & Governance
- Establish and strengthen regulatory reporting controls.
- Generate management information and support key forums (Finance department, ALCo, Risk Committees).
- Report on financial prudential regulations’ impacts.
7. Prudential Support & Data Interchange
- Support Finance & Treasury using regulatory reports for capital, liquidity, and balance sheet management.
8. Team Leadership
- Lead the reporting team by setting objectives.
- Coach, develop, and drive high standards.
- Foster excellence through clear expectations.
Requirements
We’re looking for an ambitious individuals with the following qualifications:
- Strong command of UK prudential regulatory frameworks (PRA/FCA).
- Proven regulatory reporting experience in banking, building societies, or audit.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them practically.
- Excellent analytical skills (data validation/reconciliation) and finance/risk data expertise.
- Strong control mindset, detail orientation, and attention to precision.
- Previous management experience.
