Rehabilitation Specialist – Vale Hospital | Permanent | Full Time
Location: Vale Hospital
Salary: Up to £27,985 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
About the Role
We are looking for a Rehabilitation Specialist to help us build a healthier nation through Nuffield Health’s Rehabilitation Programmes. This exciting and rewarding role will enable you to deliver our unique rehabilitation programmes, championing our charitable purpose.
As part of this position, you will:
- Facilitate remote (digital) and in-person rehabilitation sessions, including exercise classes, emotional wellbeing support, healthy eating guidance, and goal setting.
- Lead 12-week rehabilitation programmes with participants across varying abilities.
- Provide 1-to-1 coaching via weekly telephone calls, covering goal setting, progress monitoring, and emotional wellbeing support.
- Collaborate with our Charity team, onsite and central colleagues, and beneficiaries to drive impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and deliver 12-week rolling rehabilitation programmes.
- Lead live-streamed and in-person group exercise classes for participants with varying levels of physical and functional abilities.
- Promote self-directed activity using pre-recorded content and interactive journals.
- Adapt exercises based on participants' progress, ensuring safe and effective outcomes.
- Identify declines in participants' status, escalate issues per internal processes, and report back on time.
- Perform weekly 1-to-1 telephone coaching to support goal-setting, emotional wellbeing, and self-managed recovery.
- Capture outcome data accurately to align with our Charitable Purpose and track progress effectively.

Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (crucial for this role).
- Excellent IT skills.
- Previous experience in rehabilitation, ideally as a Specialist (desired but not essential).
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving and diagnostic expertise.
- Demonstrable English and numeracy skills.
Desirable
- A BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation (helps but not compulsory).
- Experience working with vulnerable adults.
- Proven experience in time and resource management.
