Description
Are you a confident, leading customer service professional who is passionate about animal welfare? Want to play a key role in finding our dogs their forever homes?
We’re looking for a Rehoming Supervisor who will be responsible for driving a culture of rehoming, working collaboratively to match as many dogs and adopters as possible.
What does this role do?
As Rehoming Supervisor, you’ll:
- Lead the rehoming team on a day-to-day basis, role modelling excellent customer service, providing support with adoptions and motivating the team to match as many dogs as possible to their forever homes,
- Allocate and prioritise the work of the rehoming team, assigning staff and volunteers daily tasks, continually working towards targets and the shared goal of increasing rehoming,
- Create a sense of excitement around public openings, embodying Dogs Trust values and providing visitors to the rehoming centre with a memorable experience,
- Think creatively about rehoming, utilising your expertise and experience to flexibly meet the needs of dogs and adopters.

Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some supervisory experience, with a supportive, non-judgemental approach and the ability to motivate a team to meet targets and drive efficiencies, always leading by example. You’ll also have significant customer service experience and excellent communication skills, with the ability to have sensitive and meaningful conversations confidently. You’ll be hard working, reliable, and above all, have a passion and commitment to rehoming and the wider aims of Dogs Trust.

What does this team do?
Our rehoming centres house thousands of dogs each year until they are able to find a loving new home, and the success of our centres wouldn't be possible without our dedicated team of staff and volunteers; there is a real family-community within each of our centres. Come rain or shine, our team are out in all weathers to make sure the dogs have the best possible life. Dealing with thousands of visitors each month, our rehoming centres are the face of Dogs Trust and we pride ourselves on our staff providing the very best in customer service.
