Job Overview

SALARY: Negotiable Depending on Experience + Benefits
LOCATION: Brentwood, Essex
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 6am-4pm Monday to Friday (there will also be a need to provide weekend and bank holiday cover on a rota basis, paid in addition to your normal working hours)
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will need to hold a Full Driving Licence and access to a Vehicle as the site is not commutable by public transport.
Note: This is full time on site / on premise role and there is not an option for part-time or hybrid working.
Job Overview
The organisation is looking for a proactive and well-organised Reinstatement Planner to support the successful completion of projects by ensuring sites are restored to a satisfactory condition.
Working in a fast-paced operational environment, you will help plan and schedule reinstatement activity using operational reports, Streetworks information, permits, client requirements, and project documentation. You will also support daily programmes, whereabouts, completion records, progress monitoring, resource allocation, and quality control.
As a Reinstatement Planner, you will work closely with supervisors, operational teams, Streetworks teams, clients, local authorities, and highway inspectors to help ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with NRSWA, SROH, Highway Authority specifications, and client standards.

Duties
Your duties as the Reinstatement Planner will include:
- Planning Works: Plan and schedule reinstatement works using operational reports, Streetworks information, permits, and client requirements
- Daily Programmes: Produce and maintain daily programmes, whereabouts, completion records, and job updates
- Operational Coordination: Liaise with supervisors, operational teams, Streetworks teams, clients, local authorities, and highway inspectors to keep works moving efficiently
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor reinstatement activity throughout the day, resolving issues, delays, access problems, and aborted works
- Documentation Review: Review job information, reports, and photographs to identify reinstatement requirements, defects, quality issues, or incomplete works
- Resource Allocation: Support labour, materials, plant, equipment, and travel planning to meet operational targets
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure works are planned in line with NRSWA, SORH, Highway Authority specifications, client standards, and health and safety requirements
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide clear updates on progress, variations, delays, and completion status
Essential
- Must have knowledge of SROH and Red Book, NSWRA accreditation would be advantageous
- Previous experience in reinstatement planning, Streetworks, utilities, highways, civils, construction planning, or a similar operational works planning role
- Strong planning, scheduling, and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads in a busy operational environment
- Good understanding of Streetworks permits, NRSWA, SROH, highway reinstatement standards, Highway Authority specifications, and client standards
- Confident using planning systems, operational reporting tools, and job documentation to coordinate works and monitor progress
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise with supervisors, operational teams, clients, local authorities, and highway inspectors
- Good attention to detail, with the ability to review reports, photographs, and job information to identify defects, quality issues, or incomplete works
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with the confidence to raise concerns, challenge substandard workmanship, and respond to changing operational priorities
- Hold a Full Driving Licence with access to a vehicle

Desirable
- Knowledge of road construction types, modular surfaces, kerbing, ironwork, and reinstatement methods
- Experience producing or managing daily programmes, whereabouts, job updates, completion records, or similar operational documentation
- Experience supporting resource allocation, travel planning, materials coordination, or operational productivity
