Reinstatement Supervisor
Reinstatement Supervisor – Yorkshire Water Contract (AMP8) | Lanes Group
We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond!
We are currently recruiting for Reinstatement Supervisors to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Yorkshire. About the Role
As a Site Supervisor, you will:
- Lead operational teams within a defined catchment, ensuring seamless end-to-end management of all works while delivering an exceptional customer journey.
- Oversee team performance, conduct site inspections, and coordinate crews from your depot.
- Manage fleet issues and evaluate employee performance.
- Work with Senior Management, the Client, and Local Authority to agree on the scope of works and maintain positive relationships.
- Act as a key liaison with clients, promptly addressing concerns or requests.
- Encourage personal development, foster training opportunities, and enhance team skills.
- Collaborate with planning and scheduling teams to ensure effective resource allocation, job prioritisation, and workforce coordination.
- Ensure all work aligns with Lanes Group and customer standards, policies, and procedures.
- Lead Civil Operatives and Gangers, optimise resources, and work with scheduling teams to schedule work appropriately.
- Manage team fleet/plant and material requirements, ensuring timely, efficient completion of works.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills, enforce policies, and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop method statements and procedures, interpret specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Ensure real-time updates to client systems and record all completed work.
- Command team respect, build strong working relationships with all personnel.
- Maintain confident communication with both internal and external clients.
- Effectively instruct the workforce, managing daily operations.
- Read and interpret drawings, including excavation dimensions, pipe placements, and shoring designs.
- Ensure teams are properly supplied with tools, materials, and equipment, maximising efficiency and minimising waste.
- Monitor safety and discipline on-site, addressing absenteeism, unsafe practices, and idleness.
- Implement HS&E and quality procedures, enforcing strict compliance.
- Oversee team well-being, identify training needs, and implement safe work practices.
- Lead with safety-first mentality to prevent incidents and accidents.

About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have previous experience in supervision within the Wastewater Industry.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Possess essential managerial experience—we are committed to encouraging the best from our employees!
- Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, balancing multiple tasks effectively.
- Exhibit strong customer service skills.
- Show excellent time management, delivering work to deadlines.
- Display superior leadership abilities, inspiring teams to meet targets.
- Take a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Have proven experience in a Supervisor Role within the Utilities Sector, ideally within drainage or civils ties.

Working Hours & Location
- Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week
- Salary: £38,000 – £42,000
- Location: Bradford and surrounding regional areas
- Company vehicle provided
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
