We are excited to announce a new opportunity to join our Network Operations team as a Reinstatement Operative for our backfill and reinstatement team! You will be a vital part of the backfill operations, maintenance, and replacement of Hafren Dyfrdwy’s underground water network in the Wrexham and Powys areas.
You will be responsible for providing an effective team support function, undertaking duties to include waste transfer, backfill and reinstatement operations on the company’s infrastructure assets.
The key accountabilities of this role will include:
- Carrying out a wide variety of reinstatement based tasks on the distribution network, sent out by the Hafren Dyfrdwy Planning Team at our head office in Wrexham.
- Accountability for your own health & safety and have a duty of care for any internal and external stakeholders affected by the work you do.
- Exercising judgment in terms of the risk/impact to our customers, the general public, and road-traffic users, relative to the activity in hand, and to ensure compliance with our statutory, regulatory and company standards at all times.
- Undertaking the full range of duties involved in delivering an effective reinstatement as part of our repair and maintenance service, examples of which are team support for waste transfer, backfill and reinstatement operations.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in reinstatement works
- Able to complete work as part of our reinstatement team and have knowledge and experience of reinstatement on public highways and private sites
- Be able to demonstrate and implement daily Health & Safety in the workplace
- Physically demanding role and will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Driving licence essential (category C1 preferred)
- NRSWA preferred
- A full UK driving licence will be required for the role.
