Reinsurance Broking & Production Intern/ Placement Opportunity

Location: London

About the Role

We are offering the opportunity for a 6, 9, or 12-month paid internship/placement within our Reinsurance Broking & Production team in London. This role provides hands-on exposure to the end-to-end reinsurance placement process, supporting brokers in delivering solutions to global insurance clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support brokers in the placement and execution of reinsurance programmes during the renewal process
  • Assist in preparing client presentations, renewal documentation, and market submissions
  • Conduct market research on reinsurance trends and pricing developments
  • Liaise with internal teams (analytics, actuarial, and operations) to support deal execution
  • Help maintain accurate records of placements, contracts, and client interactions
  • Attend internal meetings and, where appropriate, broker/reinsurer discussions

  • Exposure to key classes such as property, casualty, and specialty lines

Essential:

  • Penultimate-year undergraduate (or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail and organisation
  • Curious about technology including AI tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Desirable:

  • Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
  • Interest in insurance, reinsurance, or capital markets
  • Prior internship or work experience in a professional environment
