We are seeking an experienced Reinsurance Contract Wording Specialist to join our International Property & Casualty team in London. You will be responsible for the preparation, review and negotiation of reinsurance contract documentation across a broad range of international Property and Casualty treaty business. You will work closely with brokers, clients and reinsurers and will be expected to understand the client’s requirements, review contractual language, advise on coverage issues, and ensure documentation reflects the intent of all parties.

Your responsibilities and attributes will include:
- Preparation and drafting of reinsurance contracts, endorsements and client related documentation.
- Work across both proportional and non proportional treaty structures.
- Review client-generated contracts and provide recommendations to ensure accuracy, clarity and contractual certainty.
- Compare, contrast and advise on contract structures and market standards.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, negotiate and influence contractual parties.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving and exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, and unintended coverage gaps. Also, ensure contract wording accurately reflects negotiated terms.
- Maintain a strong understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance requirements relating to international reinsurance business.
- Keep abreast of market developments, LMA/IUA clauses, sanctions issues, and evolving legal precedents.
- Build strong working relationships across broking, client service, legal and operational teams to ensure efficient delivery of client solutions.
- Manage and prioritise workload during peak renewal times.
- Work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organisational and document management skills. Ensuring version control and audit trail integrity.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal contract standards, wordings and templates.
- Take an active role in our cross class Lockton Re Contract Working Group.
