About the Role: Deployment Engineer

We’re looking for an engineering talent passionate about automation, efficiency, and excellence in software deployments. As part of the CIO team, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Deploying multiple code packages across development, test, and live environments
  • Managing deployments into live environments, including rollback processes when needed
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining deployment tools and workflows to streamline software releases
  • Identifying process improvements and automating repetitive tasks to enhance operational accuracy
  • Setting up new environments, including multi-component configurations
  • Providing support to testing teams by diagnosing and resolving environment-specific issues

Key Requirements & Skills

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Experience with shell scripting or programming (Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to prioritise work efficiently while adapting to changing plans
  • Quick learner with adaptability to new tools, technologies, and methodologies
  • Proficiency in automation and application design principles
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies and test automation tools
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and unit testing frameworks
  • Experience with peer code reviews and structured testing processes
  • Awareness of infrastructure components (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, cloud resources)
