Role: Relationship Manager, SME Business Banking
Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with SME clients, with an average of 50–65 clients in portfolio
- Manage portfolio values of approximately £2.5m and SME clients with £2–15m turnover
- Drive revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach that engages clients and increases new business
- Grow the business sustainably by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC’s extensive network
- Build a strong understanding of the client's business and industry to:
- Promote insights
- Enrich client conversations
- Deliver fair outcomes
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the client through:
- Proactive credit risk assessments
- Customer due diligence reviews

Requirements
- Experience of working in relevant environments, e.g. Business/Corporate Banking, Financial Services
- Proven ability:
- Identifying and meeting customer needs
- Leading and delivering excellent customer service
- Proactively looking for innovative ways to improve service
- Experience building effective networks across business areas:
- Developing relationships based on mutual trust
- Encouraging others to do the same
- Comprehensive understanding of risk management
- Proven experience ensuring own/others’ compliance with relevant regulatory processes
