Opportunity Highlights:
This role offers an exciting chance to partner with Network Appointed Representative (AR) firms and self-employed national advisers, guiding them through the imperative stages of business growth: Run, Grow, Sustain, and Exit with confidence.
As a Distribution Director, your role will be to develop business-to-business relationships with AR firms and national financial advisers by delivering transparent, tailored advice across strategy, structuring, operations, and growth strategies. This will directly support Quilter’s corporate objectives and ensure profitable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow strategic relationships with AR firms and self-employed advisers across a broad geographic area.
- Understand their short, medium, and long-term goals, and develop customisable strategies to meet those aspirations.
- Work collaborately with AR principals and national advisers to implement their growth plans, including a pathway for a successful exit strategy.
- Embed our customer-centric philosophy into every decision, ensuring compliance and positive customer outcomes.
- Onboard new AR firms and advisers cohesively, aligning them with Quilter’s Robocall Compliance and operational frameworks.
- Demonstrate strong team collaboration, bridging between your panel of advisers, internal teams, and other stakeholders, including Risk and Compliance.
- Proactively collaborate across internal teams, navigating political environments and managing diverse stakeholder expectations.

Supporting Our Customers Through the Consumer Duty
Your work will directly enhance customer outcomes by:
- Balancing risk and reward in decision-making.
- Ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations.
- Driving improvements in service, satisfaction, and customer stability.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience from financial services, especially within sales-driven distributions:
- Proven track record in developing business relationships with AR principals/Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), understanding the benefits each partnership model provides to all parties.
- Deep exposure to financial advisory network operations (including multi-firm networks and self-employed advisers).
- Comprehensive knowledge of wealth, mortgage, and protection markets, with direct experience regarding platform operations, asset gathering, and distribution channels.
- In-depth awareness of regulatory frameworks, compliance processes, and how to operate within a risk-sensitive environment.
- Strong communication skills and relationship-building approach, fostering trust and professional connections.
- Ability to facilitate growth through strategic advisement that prioritises unequivocal client outcomes.
