We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused and commercially minded individual to join this team in the role of Relationship Support Analyst.

HSBC Corporate Banking in the UK provides both domestic and international commercial banking services to our existing and prospective clients. Clients will typically have turnover of up to £350m.

The role of the Relationship Support Analyst is to support the Relationship Directors and Managers with the provision of financial services solutions for Corporate Banking customers, with sophisticated domestic and cross border banking requirements, in a variety of industry sectors across the globe.

In this role you’ll:

  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, to provide ongoing day to day support
  • Analysis of financial statements, management accounts and covenant calculations to provide an assessment for review by Relationship Directors
  • Provide support to the Relationship Directors to enable them to meet customer needs
  • Prepare financial proposals, presentations and undertake analysis for both existing and prospective customers
  • Detailed customer research, financial and credit analysis
  • Support on day-to-day activities including client planning, pipeline management, coordination with product partners
  • Ensure consistent application of Group Policy and adhere to regulatory, financial, and legal standards to minimise business and reputational risks

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience working in Corporate/Commercial Banking is essential
  • Experience in analysis financial statements and managements to provide a detailed assessment of performance
  • A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service is essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
  • Experience of planning and prioritising your time effectively and adhering to strict deadlines is essential
  • The ability to understand and interpret financial data is essential
  • The ability to use Microsoft packages is essential

The base location for this role is Canada Square, London. A hybrid working arrangement is available with an expectation of part of the working week being office based or visiting clients. This role requires occasional travel to visit clients across the London and M25 area, so it is important that the successful candidate can travel easily around this region as required.
