We have major processing sites across England and Wales, and an agricultural network of over 350 farms, spanning from North Yorkshire to the South Coast and Wales.

Our advanced manufacturing site in Brackley, is one of our main processing facilities with over 700 talented people helping us to deliver high quality products to our customers and making the business a trusted leader in fresh foods.
We’ve recently invested £11 million in advanced technology and colleague amenities, making it one of the most advanced food manufacturing facilities in the UK.
About The Role

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our people across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering Team, based at our Brackley site.
There is an opportunity for the role to be undertaken by engineering graduates as well as experienced professionals.
What will you be doing as a Reliability Engineer at Avara?
As a Reliability Engineer you’ll have Engineering responsibility for an area within the operational environment as the Reliability Engineer. Monitoring equipment downtime, analysing trends to drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives and projects

What will your key responsibilities as a Reliability Engineer include?
- Reliability/Asset Care Manager, responsible for all equipment in an area
- Maintain a high level of reliability and availability of factory equipment through an effective planned maintenance regime
- Responsible for the gathering and analysis of equipment efficiency and downtime in order to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Raising of Planned Maintenance or reactive maintenance jobs for respective area
- Review of all completed job sheets in respective area
- Production of downtime data for weekly meetings
- Lead and support installation and capital projects
- Communicate and collaborate with other colleagues, suppliers and contractors
- Understanding of engineering and operational KPI’s and be able to identify areas for improvement
- Interact with on-shift engineers and other site engineering teams to resolve challenging equipment problems
- Support the Site Principal Engineer and engineering peers to develop robust weekly and monthly maintenance plans that improve asset availability and equipment performance
- Coordinate OEM engineer service visits with production and planning teams and scheduling further work that arises from those inspections
- Oversee equipment calibrations and complete and review PUWER assessments to maintain equipment compliance
Essential
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Engineering Qualification above L3 (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, HND/HNC or L3 engineering qualification may be considered dependent on experience)
- Experience gained from an Engineering Maintenance environment
- Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong Analytical skills
- Good IT ability

- Knowledge of CMMS system (Mainsaver/Spidex)
- CAD experience
- Experience in managing projects
- On site contractor management
