Vaccinator and Relief Assistant Farm Manager - Turkey Division
Based at Islebeck Farm, North Yorkshire, with requirement to work on all Avara turkey farms

We are seeking a highly competent and motivated Vaccinator and Relief Assistant Farm Manager to support our turkey farming operations across Yorkshire. This is a varied role based at Islebeck Farm, North Yorkshire, providing management cover and vaccination support across multiple turkey sites. The role includes supporting the day-to-day management of farms across a multitude of sites, reporting directly to the Area Farm Manager. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of bird welfare, biosecurity, site performance and operational excellence.

Hours of Work
48 hours per week, working 6 days out of 7 between Monday and Sunday, according to business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
As a Vaccinator and Relief Assistant Farm Manager, you will provide management support and operational cover across our turkey farming sites throughout North Yorkshire and the Midlands. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Farm Managers with the day-to-day running of turkey farms.
- Carrying out vaccinating duties, which may form a significant part of the role (approximately 3-4 days per week).
- Maintaining optimum environmental conditions to ensure excellent bird welfare and biosecurity.
- Monitoring bird health, performance and welfare standards.
- Ensuring company standards and site maintenance are consistently achieved.
- Supervising colleagues and contractors while promoting Health & Safety compliance.
- Maintaining accurate farm records in line with company procedures and UK legislation.
- Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with all assurance schemes and legislative requirements.
- Assisting with labour planning and operational efficiency across multiple sites.
- Providing management cover during annual leave, sickness or business needs.
- Travelling between Yorkshire and Midlands turkey farms as required, including overnight stays.
- Reporting directly to the Area Farm Manager.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong stockmanship and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is desirable.
- Previous livestock experience, ideally within poultry or turkey production, although other livestock backgrounds will be considered.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Basic IT skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to travel and work across multiple sites throughout Yorkshire and the Midlands.
