As a Relief Catering Assistant, you’ll be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team, contributing to a positive and friendly work environment. This is a flexible role, with hours ranging from 15 to 37.5 per week, depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
  • Crafting eye-catching food and counter displays that draw customers in
  • Proudly representing Compass Group Ireland and embodying our positive brand image
  • Handling transactions with ease and operating the cash register efficiently
  • Upholding the highest standards of Food Handling & Hygiene
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to Health & Safety regulations

Sous Chef at IWM Churchill War Rooms

IWM Churchill War Rooms, London

Salary

Up to £40,500 per annum

Contract

40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, some evening shifts required

As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in leading day-to-day kitchen operations at this historic and well-known tourist attraction. You’ll take responsibility for ensuring high-quality food standards, FSMS compliance, team supervision, training, stock management, and service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in kitchen management, menu creation, and smooth daily operations
  • Train and mentor team members, ensuring high food quality, cleanliness, and consistency
  • Maintain food safety & hygiene regulations rigorously
  • Lead stock management and minimise waste through effective ordering and inventory control
  • Control food costs while delivering the finest experience
  • Represent customer needs and handle dietary requirements with care
  • Step in when the Head Chef is unavailable, ensuring uninterrupted kitchen performance
