Relief Dispenser Role
Pay: £13.92 - £16.64 per hour (across selected locations in London)
About The Role
As a Relief Dispenser, you’ll serve as a crucial member of our pharmacy team, assisting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services across multiple stores.
Central to this role is building strong patient relationships by actively listening and addressing individual healthcare needs. Your responsibilities will span:
- Greeting patients and advising on prescriptions
- Ensuring the safe sale of medicines and providing tailored health and wellness guidance
- Making a tangible impact daily by fostering patient trust and supporting informed healthcare decisions

Key Responsibilities
Your work will involve:

Prescription Handling:
- Safely dispensing medicines, including labelling, ordering, endorsing, and processing prescription collection.
- Managing prescription safety, including medication dispensing and ordering.

Patient-Centered Care:
- Supporting healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services and unable queries to the pharmacist.
- Advising patients on medicine use with professional knowledge and care.

SOP Compliance:
- Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and compliant dispensing practices.

Technology & Processes:
- Collaborating with evolving tech systems to enhance dispensing quality, safety, and efficiency.

Patient Engagement:
- Facilitating medication adherence by effectively managing prescription repeats and reducing waste.
- Ensuring seamless communication with store teams for continuity of care.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Completion of a NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Advisor (or equivalent qualification).
- Current, valid right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available for Skilled Worker Visa applicants).
- Flexibility to travel across the defined geographical area.
Desirable Traits
- Experience in community pharmacy (higher preference).
- Clear communication skills and patient-focused mind-set.
