Flexible Care Job in Oakhill Place, Bedford, Bedfordshire

McCarthy Stone is hiring a Relief Duty Manager to support our friendly team at Bedford, Bedfordshire.
Help older adults live safely, independently, and with dignity — all in a secure and vibrant retirement community.
Pay and Hours
- Day shifts: £15.24 per hour
- Sleeping night shifts: £12.24 per hour
- Weekend premium: Additional £1 per hour
- Additional supplemental: £6.81 per sleep shift
- Shifts: Flexible day, evening, and weekend shifts
- Scheduled in coordination with the Estate and Operations Managers
Your Role as a Relief Duty Manager
As a Relief Duty Manager, You Will
- Support residents’ safety, wellbeing, and independence
- Respond to emergency calls during night shifts
- Oversee and assist with day-to-day care tasks
- Coordinate and support engaging social activities
- Foster a positive, welcoming environment for residents and staff

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a senior care role
- Minimum Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A caring, friendly, and reliable attitude
- Team leadership experience is a bonus
