Relief Mobile Merchandiser/Service Operator
Selecta, the largest provider of unattended self-serve coffee and convenience food in Europe, is currently hiring a Relief Mobile Merchandiser/Service Operator to join their dynamic team.
Your key responsibility will be maintaining a high level of customer service by ensuring machines are fully stocked and hygienically clean, optimising sales across Selecta’s operational base. This is a mobile role, requiring daily visits to multiple client sites to:
- Restock and clean both coffee and vending machines
- Act as a friendly point of contact for clients during site visits

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain operational excellence by filling and cleaning machines as per Selecta’s strict hygiene and operational guidelines
- Perform stock controls across machines and company vans
- Troubleshoot faults quickly: unblock mixing bowls, clear cup jams, resolve routine technical issues and log machine faults via the Service Desk
- Immediate reporting for incidents: accidents, unsafe food or customer complaints—direct to Area Manager/Service Desk on the day of discovery
- Train and upskill new team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service
- Ensure the highest standards of customer service, always maintaining a courteous and professional approach
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks on merged merchandisers’ machines as per Area Manager directives
- Flag any machines that fail Automatic Vending Association hygiene standards to management

- Proven ability to train and mentor new team members
- Competency in audits and quality assurance checks
- Strict adherence to Health & Safety policies
- Flexibility and responsive problem-solving approach
- Dedication to customer service excellence and a high professional standard (attire included)
