Relief Mobile Merchandiser/Relief Service Operator - Manchester

Relief Mobile Merchandiser/Service Operator

Selecta, the largest provider of unattended self-serve coffee and convenience food in Europe, is currently hiring a Relief Mobile Merchandiser/Service Operator to join their dynamic team.

Your key responsibility will be maintaining a high level of customer service by ensuring machines are fully stocked and hygienically clean, optimising sales across Selecta’s operational base. This is a mobile role, requiring daily visits to multiple client sites to:

  • Restock and clean both coffee and vending machines
  • Act as a friendly point of contact for clients during site visits

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain operational excellence by filling and cleaning machines as per Selecta’s strict hygiene and operational guidelines
  • Perform stock controls across machines and company vans
  • Troubleshoot faults quickly: unblock mixing bowls, clear cup jams, resolve routine technical issues and log machine faults via the Service Desk
  • Immediate reporting for incidents: accidents, unsafe food or customer complaints—direct to Area Manager/Service Desk on the day of discovery
  • Train and upskill new team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service, always maintaining a courteous and professional approach
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks on merged merchandisers’ machines as per Area Manager directives
  • Flag any machines that fail Automatic Vending Association hygiene standards to management
