Relief Mobile Merchandiser/Service Operator – Relief Role

Selecta is the largest provider of unattended self-serve coffee and convenience food in Europe, leading the way in vending solutions and specialist coffee services. We are hiring a Relief Mobile Merchandiser/Service Operator to join our team and ensure a high level of customer service. This role involves providing full and hygienically clean machines, prepared to deliver maximum sales across our operational base.

About the Role

This is a mobile role. The Successful candidate attendance will visit multiple client sites daily, restocking and cleaning both coffee and vending machines, whilst being a friendly point of contact on-site for clients during visits.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain full stock levels while adhering to Company guidelines for cleaning and servicing all vending machines
  • Complete daily stock and cash controls across machines and company vans
  • Troubleshoot and fix occasional machine faults (e.g. cup jams, blocked mixing bowls), reporting faults to the Service Desk immediately
  • Escalate all incidents (accidents, unfit food, customer complaints) to your Area Manager or the Service Desk the same day they occur
  • Provide training to new starters and team members, ensuring compliance with high-quality customer service standards
  • Deliver a high level of customer care, always displaying professionalism and courtesy
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks on Retail Merchandisers’ machines upon instructions from the Area Retail Manager, sharing any follow-up actions with the relevant parties
  • Report any machines operating below Automatic Vending Association hygiene standards to your Area Manager
