Salary

Relief required for the area and current full-time PCV Instructor retires in less than 1 year.

As a PCV Driving Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to new and existing drivers, ensuring they meet all necessary standards and regulations for safely operating passenger-carrying vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Comprehensive Training: Provide both practical and theoretical instruction to individuals seeking to obtain their PCV license, ensuring they understand and can apply safe driving practices.
  • Develop and implement training programs in line with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Assess and Evaluate: Continuously assess the progress of trainees, providing constructive feedback and additional training as necessary to ensure they are ready for their driving tests.
  • Support Examination Preparation: Prepare students thoroughly for their driving tests, including mock tests and in-depth reviews of their performance.
  • Ensure all training materials and methods comply with current legislation.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions and driver performance.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and resources.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Held a full category D Licence for at least 3 years
  • Accident free for 18 months
  • Green road score below 10
  • Ability to change training style to adapt to suit candidates' needs
