The role
Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our team, working with our prestigious clients.
We are recruiting a Relief Reception and Access Control Officer.
You will deliver Reception and Access Control services, completing core tasks while adding value to Jaguar Land Rover.
This Midland-based role requires full mobility and day-to-day flexibility across all JLR Midlands sites, as business needs dictate.
Operating hours vary by site, so flexibility is required to cover Reception & Access Control services, including additional hours when supporting other locations.

Note: This role covers annual leave and sickness. It is not full-time and does not have regular hours.
You will be the first point of contact when the usual team is on leave. Most shifts will be planned well in advance, but you may be asked to work at short notice.
Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To)
Deliver a seamless reception experience, aligned to JLR Creator Codes and representing Carlisle support services and Jaguar Land Rover Support the Reception & Access Control team and collaborate with site stakeholders Welcome employees, visitors, and customers professionally and consistently Book in visitors on the JLR system and manage them until handover/departure Communicate site rules and safety expectations Maintain strong knowledge of JLR UK sites to support customer enquiries Answer internal and external calls via switchboard Adapt quickly to changing business needs Issue visitor badges, verify ID, and process vehicle passes (updating the database) Fire Marshal: lead reception-area evacuations and support guests during emergencies Maintain a safe, clean reception area and document working practices in line with the JLR Way Manage ID cards (issue, program, assign access, review, and deactivate) in line with JLR Access Control Policy Run access control reports and maintain accurate records Drive continuous improvement within the Reception & Access Control team
Essential
What you’ll need
Customer service/hospitality background Conflict resolution (or similar) Excellent teamwork (HPT) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Administration/IT: filing and Microsoft 365 applications Switchboard/telephony skills Valid UK driving licence and personal transport
