Relief Retail Security Officer
Location: Various locations (area-wide relief role) Salary: Competitive hourly rate Job Type: Full-time, 8-hour shifts (days, nights, weekends)
About the Role
Mitie Security is seeking dedicated and adaptable Relief Security Officers to work across a range of environments—retail, corporate, and logistics—providing dynamic and flexible security cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard multiple locations by rotating across sites as required
- Conduct patrol duties, access control, and incident response
- Maintain a professional and visible presence to deter security threats
- Deliver excellent customer service while upholding security standards
- Ensure high-level safety and security compliance in all shifts
Requirements
✅ Valid SIA Licence (preferably in Security Guarding, Door Supervising, or CCTV) ✅ Flexibility to work across day, night, and weekend shifts ✅ Own reliable transport—ability to travel up to 40 miles per shift ✅ Strong communication & observational skills ✅ Independent yet team-working aptitude
