Relief Retail Security Officer
Retail Security Officer (Various Locations) – Mitie

Compensation: £13.23 per hour Various shifts ( flexible scheduling to be finalised at interview )
Mitie is seeking a Retail Security Officer to provide top-tier customer service while ensuring a safe, crime-free shopping environment for both customers and colleagues.
Key Requirement: And app for a current SIA licence or certificates (though in some cases, training for a licence can be provided)
Job Overview
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills while safeguarding a seamless shopping experience. This role involves:
- Detecting and deterring violence and public order offences
- Conducting store patrols for security
- Utilising CCTV systems to minimise theft and lost stock
- Strong collaboration with store management
- Liaising with law enforcement and crime partnerships
- Body-worn CCTV usage to enhance safety for colleagues and customers
Key Responsibilities
- Provide industry-leading customer service
- Patrol and monitor the store for security risks
- Operate and review CCTV systems to deter crime and reduce stock loss
- Work closely with store management teams
- Collaborate with police and crime partnerships to reduce in-store crime
- Wear and use body-worn CCTV cameras to support safety for all
- Ensure prevention and de-escalation of any incidents
