Relief Security Officer
Security Officer – Public facing role (24 hours per week, varied shifts)
Location: London Energy Ltd (Wembley NW10 0UX & Edmonton N18 3AG) Hours: 24 hours per week Pay Rate: £14.80 per hour

About the Role
This highly influential public-facing role is the entrant face of the Security Team. A can-do, professional attitude is essential, along with ensuring exemplary standards of security and customer service for clients and visitors.
The role requires full flexibility to cover shifts across multiple sites, including London Energy Ltd at Wembley (NW10 0UX) and Edmonton (N18 3AG). The company is a large Energy and Waste services provider, managing warehouses, waste depots, and recycling centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by interacting professionally and courteously with all visitors.
- Proactively patrol sites as outlined in the site assignment instructions, ensuring vigilance and a proactive security presence.
- Assist visitors and employees where opportunities arise, fostering a welcoming environment.
- Ensure site safety by maintaining a secure and non-threatening environment for all visitors.
- Manage incidents in line with site policies and procedures, ensuring swift and appropriate action.
- Liaise effectively with the site control room, reporting incidents and keeping team members briefed.
- Identify and report any unauthorised access or security breaches immediately.
- Record and log all non-conformances, incidents, and emergencies properly in the Security Officer notebook and with the control room.
- Handle emergencies efficiently, ensuring the site team remains informed and supported at all times.
- Monitor human behaviour, identify suspect activity, and log and report incidents in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with radio communication and reporting procedures.
- Complete all mandatory training as required by the line manager and remain available for additional shifts to cover unscheduled absences or leave.
- Collaborate closely with the Environmental Services team, maintaining seamless integration in service delivery.
- Escalate issues when necessary to ensure all tasks are completed effectively.
- Maintain high motivation, ownership, and professionalism in all duties.

Required Skills & Experience
- SIA Licensed Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guardian (SG) – mandatory
- SIA CCTV Licence – desirable
- Valid First Aid Certificate – mandatory
- Strong communication skills to engage with visitors professionally.
- Ability to act swiftly and autonomously, taking ownership of situations.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a commitment to teamwork.
- Courteous, friendly, and helpful demeanour at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to varied and challenging environments.
