Location: London, WC1B 5EH
Pay: £13.85 per hour
Hours: Guaranteed 12 hours per week, with potential for additional shifts across days, nights & weekends

We’re currently recruiting for a Relief Security Officer to provide security services across multiple sites in a defined geographic area.
Ideal for a flexible and professional individual, this role involves maintaining high-quality security while protecting people, property, and assets according to assignment instructions and client requirements.
You’ll uphold the core values—integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness—delivering excellent customer service and adapting quickly to different environments and operational demands.
Key Responsibilities
As a Relief Security Officer, you’ll ensure site safety through:
- Preventing and deterring unauthorised access
- Monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV
- Conducting internal and external security patrols per assignment instructions
- Performing routine tests of security equipment
- Managing keys and locking/unlocking duties as required
- Maintaining logbooks and records
- Issuing visitor/contractor passes with adherence to assigned protocols
- Providing safeguarding support to staff, visitors, and contractors

Requirements
To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Essential
- Valid SIA licence
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends
- Ability to travel across multiple London sites
- Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
- Good communication skills (spoken and written)
- Strong report-writing ability for detailed incident logs
Preferred
- Front-of-house or reception experience
- Customer service experience
- Patrol experience
- Familiarity with computerised security systems
