Olympia London is undergoing a £1.3 billion transformation, becoming a world-leading destination for live entertainment, culture, innovation, and events. As the estate continues to grow, we’re looking for high-quality Security Officers to join our Relief Team supporting operations across the wider Olympia estate.
The Role
This is a varied and dynamic security role offering the opportunity to work across a range of environments throughout the Olympia estate.
- From supporting events and managing visitor flows to providing day-to-day security cover across the venue, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and professional environment for guests, visitors, exhibitors, contractors and colleagues.
- No two shifts are the same. You'll work as part of a flexible relief team, supporting operational requirements wherever needed across the estate.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre on Wednesday 11th June, lasting approximately 2.5 hours. Full details and booking information will be provided to successful applicants.

You’ll Be
- Providing a visible, professional, and reassuring security presence across the estate
- Supporting events operations, crowd management, and access control when required
- Assisting with day-to-day estate security duties across multiple locations
- Welcoming guests and acting as a positive first point of contact
- Responding to incidents calmly, professionally, and effectively
- Working closely with teams across the venue to deliver a safe and high-quality experience
- Adapting to different environments and operational requirements as part of a relief team

Contract & Working Pattern
This is a casual, ad hoc relief role with no guaranteed hours. Shifts are offered based on operational requirements across the Olympia estate and event schedule.
Due to the nature of the role, shift patterns will vary and can include:
- Days, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Short and long shift durations depending on operational needs
- Event-based deployments and general estate coverage
- Opportunities to work across different locations and environments within the estate
Flexibility and availability are important, as requirements can change week to week. This role is well suited to individuals looking for varied work within a fast-paced events and venue environment.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for reliable, adaptable, and high-calibre individuals who can represent both Carlisle and Olympia to the highest standard.
You Will Be
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence holder (Essential)
- Professional, confident, and customer-focused
- Comfortable working across a range of busy environments
- Flexible and adaptable to different duties and locations across the estate
- Calm under pressure with strong decision-making skills
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- A strong communicator and team player with a positive attitude
- Available to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends

Previous experience in events, venue, corporate, or customer-facing security roles is essential.
