We’re Hiring: Relief Security Officer!
📍 Location: Milton Keynes, Luton and Northamptonshire
💰 Pay: £14.00 per hour
📅 Hours: From 12 - 48 hours per week

We are recruiting a Relief Security Officer to deliver a professional and reliable service. In this role, you will help protect employees, visitors, and site assets by following assignment instructions and maintaining the highest standards of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the safe and secure day-to-day operations of a busy site environment🛡️
As a Relief Security Officer, your key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring CCTV, fire, and intruder alarm systems
- Conducting both internal and external patrols
- Preventing unauthorised access to the premises
- Assisting with traffic management and parking enforcement
- Carrying out routine checks of security equipment
- Managing key holding duties including locking and unlocking facilities
This is a hands-on role suited to someone proactive, attentive, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.

Job Description
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.
- Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV as appropriate.
- Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
- Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
- Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
- Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
- Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
- Provide support, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors whilst ensuring the safeguarding of the premises.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For

- A valid SIA licence
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends
- Reliable and trustworthy
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5‑year checkable history to meet vetting requirements
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken—for clear, confident interactions
- Your own transport, enabling you to travel reliably between multiple sites as needed
