Relief Security Officer
Relief Security Officer – Cardiff & Swansea, UK
📍 Location: Cardiff & Swansea 💰 Pay: £13.40 per hour

The Relief Security Officer ensures the protection of people, property, and assets across multiple sites as needed. You’ll be responsible for:
About the Role
You’ll be a crucial part in maintaining safety and security across one of the world’s largest security and crisis management businesses.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and protect premises through access control, CCTV, alarm response, and patrols
- Ensure a safe environment by reporting hazards, adhering to health & safety protocols, and responding to incidents
- Prevent theft, loss, and criminal activities by identifying suspicious behaviour and conducting security screenings
- Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors
- Prepare accurate reports and logs while following company policies
- Uphold Securitas’ core values: Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness

Essential Criteria
We’re looking for a safety-minded professional who thrives in team-based environments, takes initiative, and has room to grow:
- Valid SIA licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Must be 18+
- Clean checkable work history (5+ years) with no criminal convictions
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and on short notice
- Outstanding communication & customer service skills
- Valid UK Full Manual Driving Licence + access to a company vehicle (Essential)
- Previous security experience (Desirable)
- First Aid qualification (Desirable)
