Founded in 1859, The Corps of Commissionaires Management Limited, now known as Corps Security, was established to provide employment for ex-servicemen returning from the Crimean War. Rooted in principles of loyalty, integrity, and service, we are today the UK’s most established and respected specialist security services provider.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to undergo training and cover holiday/sickness shifts across multiple client sites. Once opportunities arise, this role could transition to a fixed shift pattern.

Hours will vary, covering both day and night shifts.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus
- A valid SIA Front-Line License (essential)
- SIA CCTV License (desirable)
- Confidence in building and maintaining relationships at all organisational levels
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask, and operate under pressure
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel)
- A full UK Driving License and access to a personal/religible vehicle
- Capacity to achieve BS7858 security vetting clearance
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol premises according to Corps and client requirements, documenting activities in compliance with quality procedures
- Verify visitor/contractor sign-ins and briefings, manage delivery entry/exit records, and process relevant documentation
- Monitor alarm systems for out-of-hours security if required
- Complete incident logs, shift handover reports, accident recordings, or any site-specific documentation
- Ensure knowledge of Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and safety policies, advising Corps leadership or clients on improvements
- Maintain training compliance, particularly first aid and fire marshal certifications, via the Corps Colleague Portal
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned
