Retail Security Relief Officer – Tesco Partnership
Location: Tesco Annfield Plain, DH9 7UZ (covering multiple sites within the local area)
Pay: £13.47 per hour
Hours: 0–48 hours per week (as required)
Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday, varied shifts
Typical Shift Times: Between 06:00 and 00:00, including:
- 07:00 – 14:30
- 12:00 – 20:00
- 16:00 – 00:00
- Other shifts as required by the rota
Pay Frequency: Weekly (every Friday)
About The Role
Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is looking for professional and reliable Relief Security Officers to support Tesco stores across the local area.
This is a flexible relief position where you will be required to work across multiple sites, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular store patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Provide a visible security presence to deter theft and anti-social behaviour
- Monitor store activity and respond appropriately to incidents
- Carry out retail security duties in line with site procedures
- Complete accurate reports and incident records
- Support Tesco colleagues and contribute to efficient store operations
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional approach
- Handle challenging situations calmly and confidently

Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding)
- Full 5-year checkable employment history
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Willingness and ability to work across multiple sites in the area
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, reliable, and confident manner
- Good observation skills and sound judgement
- Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential
