Portsmouth International Port Security Officer – Full & Flexible Role

About the Role

Carlisle Support Services is the trusted security supplier for Portsmouth International Port, and we’re expanding our team to support cruise operations as the port grows.

This is your opportunity to develop a rewarding security career with a respected company. You’ll work flexibly (dependant on cruise schedules) in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, supporting the port’s security team while checking passengers and luggage against strict counter-terrorism and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting passenger screening and X-ray baggage checks using advanced equipment
  • Demonstrating assertive communication with passengers, staff, and clients
  • Operating with high counter-terrorism awareness and efficient decision-making under pressure
  • Maintaining top-tier customer service standards and professional presentation
  • Following detailed security protocols and independent risk assessment
  • Active participation in ongoing training and career progression

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence (SG or DS**)
  • 5 years’ checkable work and address history
  • UK right to work status
