Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services, for an experienced Security Officer to join our established security team as a Relief Security Officer/CCTV Operator covering various sites across the Greater Manchester area.
This varied role combines security guarding duties with CCTV monitoring responsibilities, requiring a flexible and proactive individual who can adapt to different environments and client requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, contractors and visitors, whilst delivering exceptional customer service standards at all times.
The successful candidate will be confident working both independently and as part of a wider security team, carrying out patrols, monitoring CCTV systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring site procedures are followed. As this is a relief position, flexibility is essential. You will be expected to cover a variety of sites and shifts, often at short notice, adapting quickly to each site's Assignment Instructions and operational requirements.

Candidates must hold both a valid CCTV Licence and an SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) Licence. Prior CCTV experience is also essential.
Due to the nature of the role and travel between sites, a full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
Duties Include
- Protecting the client’s property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and site-specific procedures
- Operating and monitoring CCTV systems, identifying suspicious activity and responding appropriately to incidents.
- Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policy and procedures
- Preventing and escalating incidents in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner to the Control Room/ Shift Manager/Operations Manager/Emergency Services as appropriate for serious incidents
- Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
- Maintaining organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Acting as a first line support to customers and visitors to site, providing a professional and friendly service
- Understanding the needs of our customer, respond accordingly to customer queries and requests and take appropriate action
- Maintaining professional conduct at all times
Requirements
- Essential: Valid CCTV Licence
- Essential: SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) Licence
- Essential: Valid UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle
- Full 5-year employment or education checkable history
- Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
- Flexible to meet the job requirements
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Smart appearance and be well-groomed
- Reliable and punctual
- High level of enthusiasm and passion
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
