Salary: FC6 £16.92 per hour, any unsocial hours will be paid in addition to the hourly rate

Working Pattern: Casual (as and when required)

Location: Based in one of our 8 Residential Care Homes in Fife. Preference of location will be taken at interview stage.

Job Details

We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of Older People; with experience of care within a highly complex yet rewarding environment.

Based in one of our 8 residential care homes, you will undertake the keyworker role, this will involve creating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans and keeping accurate records of support planning as well as, ensuring the service user is being offered the opportunities, experience and the care and support within their care plan. The role will also involve promoting the service users to access opportunities in their local communities and enabling them to continue to live a meaningful life.

We provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people: the care homes also support a respite, STAR unit and day service.

The Person

Provide care and support which meets the Health and Social Care standards.

Must be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.

You should be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.

Must have or be able to work towards the required qualification SVQ 3, as required by the Scottish Social Services Council. Within the timeframes set at point of registration, once qualification achieved it is the person’s responsibility to inform Scottish Social Services Council accordingly.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

As this role requires SSSC registration, you will have three months to apply for registration.

If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months.
