We are searching for confident and composed Relief Support Workers in the Durham region to deliver person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, complex needs, and challenging behaviours.

This role offers an opportunity to help service users access a wide variety of personal development opportunities. Patience and adaptability are essential, as each service user has unique communication styles and ways of expressing their needs. Since our Durham services operate 24 hours a day, you must be prepared to cover a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and engagement skills.
  • Show unconditional positive regard for the people we support.
  • Work within a positive behaviour support framework.
  • Take on responsibility and develop confidence as a skilled practitioner.
  • Follow agreed guidelines and contribute positively to a supportive team environment.
