Relief Support Worker - Kittens Lane, Loddon
Salary: £12.83 per hour
Hours/Shifts: Various hours and shifts available to cover absence, training, and staff holidays.

About Kittens Lane…
Kittens Lane is located in the charming market town of Loddon along the banks of the River Chet. The services here offer a wonderful blend of local shops, cafés, and daily amenities.
Location: Located off High Bungay Road and George Lane, the site is just a few minutes’ drive from the A146. It is also within a 2-minute walk to the Kittens Lane bus stop, served by routes 86 and X22.
Note: Public transport doesn’t always align with shift patterns, so having a driving licence is recommended to ensure consistent travel to the service.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support aligned with individual needs, including:
- Personal care
- Medication assistance
- Maintaining household tasks
- Managing tenancies, where required

Utilise empathy, creativity, and kindness to encourage tenants to take appropriate risks and achieve positive, self-achieved outcomes.

Ensure accurate records are kept in line with CQC and Orwell Housing Association policies.

Collaborate with colleagues to support tenants in maintaining independence within their own homes.

Respect and promote individuality, ensuring tenants have choice and control over their care and daily decisions.

Maintain professional, respectful relationships with tenants, colleagues, families, and external professionals.
Person Specification
Desirable:
- Care Certificate (completed)
- QCF Level 2 Qualification in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
- Full driving licence (though not mandatory)
Important Information
Employment & Policy Requirements
- This role requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- UK work eligibility: You must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Right to work documents must be provided upon successful appointment.
- New arrivals to the UK (defined as those who have lived or worked overseas in the last five years) must provide a Statement of Good Conduct (SGOC).
