Relocation Manager – Guildford, UK

About the Role

Location – Guildford Job Type – Full-Time Hours of Work – Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm (40 hours per week) Contract Type – Permanent Hybrid Working – Two days office, three days remote (upon successful completion of probation); Full-time in the office for the first 3 months

We are seeking a Relocation Manager based in Guildford, reporting to our Operational Lead, to join the team.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Duties

  • Serve as the single point of coordination for assignees’ relocation process, end-to-end, including: • Household goods shipment • Temporary accommodation sourcing and booking • School search services • Area orientation • Home finding assistance • Tenancy negotiation and management • Settling-in services • Departure services • Airport transfers and flight bookings

  • Act as a strategic business partner for clients, providing support and aligning with K2 values.

  • Ensure client and assignee expectations are met through personalised, high-quality service.

Daily Activities

  • Take full accountability for each assignee’s move.
  • Prioritise and organise a dynamic caseload, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Conduct initial briefing calls, establishing aligned expectations with clients and location-specific policies.
  • Oversee services and stakeholders globally, financially offering expertise to manage and invoice.
  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of all products, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Manage relationships with household goods and local Destination Service Provider (DSP) partners.
  • Accurately update K2’s operational systems while preserving data integrity.

Specialized Responsibilities

Household Goods Shipment
  • Primary contact for all phases of the shipment process.
  • Must have knowledge of international customs documentation.
  • Collaborate with approved partners (freelancers, global agents) to ensure standards are upheld.
  • Handle door-to-door logistics: tracking assignees, crews, and freight brokers.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation and manage insurances.
International Destination Services
  • Familiarity required in destination services including home/school searches and departures.
  • Essential to coordinate services such as:
    • Pre-move briefing calls
    • Organising home and school searches
    • Post-tenancy review • Resolving deposit disputes
  • Ensure payments (deposits, rent, tuition) are processed efficiently.

** Requirements & Skills**

Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum of 3 years in relocation services.
  • Industry-specific acreditations desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience in high-profile corporate environments beneficial.

  • Exceptional communication, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail with data management skills.
  • Pro-active consultative approach.
  • Flexibility, adaptability in an agile environment.
  • Ability to:
    • Set forecasted expectations managing confidential information.
