Job Purpose

The objective of the role is to oversee the programme management for the relocation of people, laboratory operations, and associated services to the new Haleon Innovation facility in Weybridge, Surrey. The role requires strong programme management across multiple workstreams, ensuring plans, dependencies, and delivery activities are coordinated to achieve a smooth transition with minimal business disruption. Candidates should ideally have experience supporting a new facility set-up, commissioning, or a complex relocation programme.

The role requires the ability to prepare clear, targeted communications for stakeholder groups at all levels of the business. This role will also focus on the human side of change and will require to prepare and equip our colleagues to adopt and adapt to new job location, systems, and technology, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the relocation programme to establish a new site, coordinating multiple workstreams to ensure operational readiness, controlled delivery, and minimal disruption to business activities.
  • Programme Leadership: Develop and manage an integrated relocation plan across multiple workstreams, covering infrastructure, operational readiness, laboratory activities, facilities interfaces, and business dependencies. Track milestones, interdependencies, risks, and critical actions to ensure delivery remains aligned to programme objectives, timelines, and budget expectations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communications: Identify and map key stakeholders, establish effective engagement routes, and prepare targeted communications tailored to different audiences, including project teams, functional leads, and senior leadership.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Own and manage programme risks by Identifying, documenting, and mitigating programme risks and issues linked to relocation, sequencing, operational readiness, and delivery dependencies.
  • Governance & Reporting: Author and present clear programme updates to leadership and governance forums, using concise reporting and targeted communications to support decision-making and alignment.
  • Leadership: Role model HALEON culture. Build strong partnerships with functional leads and delivery teams to coordinate priorities, maintain accountability, and support delivery across workstreams. Drive resolution of cross-functional issues through effective facilitation, negotiation, and escalation where required. Promote a collaborative, accountable, and delivery-focused team environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
