Are you an Electronics Engineer or Senior Electronics Technician with a passion for fault finding, diagnostics and mentoring others, looking to take the next step in your career within a specialist automotive electronics environment?

Operating within a highly specialised sector, they provide advanced remanufacturing solutions for automotive electronic components across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Senior Remanufacturing Technician to support both the technical development of the team and the delivery of high-quality repair standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing automotive electronic components at both unit and PCB level, while also supporting and mentoring fellow technicians, driving process improvements and ensuring technical documentation and quality standards are maintained.

This position offers excellent long-term career progression, further specialist training and the opportunity to play a key role within a niche and expanding engineering business.

The Role

  • Diagnose and repair automotive electronic components at both unit and PCB level using specialist diagnostic equipment and software
  • Lead, mentor and support technicians, providing technical guidance and sharing best practice
  • Carry out PCB-level repairs, soldering and component replacement to restore products to original performance standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve remanufacturing processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform end-of-line testing and quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards
  • Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with engineering colleagues to improve repair techniques and team capability

The Person

  • Strong practical knowledge of electronics and electronic fault finding
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience carrying out PCB-level soldering and electronic component repairs
  • Automotive electronics experience or knowledge of ECUs would be highly advantageous
  • Confident using electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor colleagues and drive continuous improvement
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and engineering excellence
