Remediation Engineer

Location: North West

Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP38,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Are you a Remediation Engineer looking to further your career with a respected environmental consultancy? An exciting opportunity has become available for a Remediation Engineer to join a well-established environmental restoration and contaminated land consultancy operating across the North West. The company delivers a wide range of remediation, brownfield redevelopment, and environmental improvement projects throughout the UK.

As a Remediation Engineer, you will support the design, management, and delivery of remediation schemes, working alongside experienced environmental and engineering professionals to develop practical solutions for contaminated land challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for a Remediation Engineer seeking hands-on project involvement, professional development, and long-term career progression within the North West.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the delivery of remediation projects from planning through to completion
  • Supporting the development of remediation strategies and remedial design solutions
  • Supervising remediation contractors and site-based activities
  • Undertaking site assessments and interpreting environmental and geological data
  • Preparing technical reports, remediation verification reports, and risk assessments
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, regulators, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Supporting project management activities, including programme and budget monitoring
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and health and safety requirements
  • Contributing to the successful delivery of contaminated land and brownfield redevelopment projects

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working as a Remediation Engineer, Geo-Environmental Engineer, Environmental Engineer, or within a similar contaminated land role
  • Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Good understanding of contaminated land legislation and remediation techniques
  • Experience supporting remediation projects and site-based remediation works
  • Strong report writing and technical interpretation skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
