Remediation Engineer

Project Engineer: Remediation (Leeds)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a specialist environmental and remediation team as a Project Engineer based in Leeds.

Salary

GBP £40,000:£45,000 (dependent on experience)


About The Role

The Project Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and scoping remediation and enabling works
  • Providing technical reviews
  • Preparing technical reports
  • Undertaking onsite technical assessments, including quality assurance and health and safety management

You will work closely with the Project Manager and wider project team to support the safe and efficient delivery of remediation projects.

Requirements

Applicants should be:

  • Degree-qualified, ideally in a relevant discipline
  • Affiliated with relevant professional bodies
  • Have previous experience working on brownfield sites
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of:
    • Geoenvironmental engineering
    • Remediation processes
    • Enabling works

About You

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3½ years of experience in geoenvironmental engineering or remediation
  • Experience in brownfield land assessment and remediation

  • Strong knowledge of waste legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven technical report-writing experience
  • Familiarity with current industry guidance and technical developments
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a dispersed team
  • Flexible approach to travel and project locations
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills
  • Experience managing remediation activities and subcontractors
  • Good knowledge of project budgeting and cost estimation
  • Understanding of ground engineering and construction legislation
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • CSCS Card (preferred)
