Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and computationally proficient professional with a strong research background to contribute to our team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing challenging, research-grade scientific problems within a specialized domain

Responsibilities

Quantitative Problem Design & Solutioning

  • Create original, high-calibre scientific problems at graduate or research-level rigor, using Python for scientific programming.
  • Define problem categories, secondary tags, and assign appropriate difficulty levels.
  • Solve formulated problems with principles-based rigor, ensuring outcomes are accurate, reliable, and logically coherent.

Quality Assurance & Collaboration

  • Engage in two-tier review processes, thoroughly assessing:
    • Accuracy of both problems and solutions.
  • Collaborate proactively with reviewers and team leads, incorporating feedback to refine content quickly and enhance overall content quality.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD or PhD Candidates in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics
  • At least 1 peer-reviewed publication in a relevant field
  • Advanced Python proficiency for scientific coding/research
  • Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for documentation and collaboration

Offer Details

Expectations

  • Time commitment: At least 4 hours/day, minimum 20 weekly hours, with a 4-hour overlap with PST (flexible to choose among: 20 hrs/week, 30 hrs/week, or full-time 40 hrs).
  • Contract type: Fixed-assignment freelancer/contractor (excludes medical benefits/paid leave).
