Equans is looking for a Remote BMS Engineer to join our Digital business, based at our Digital Operations Centre in Bellshill, Glasgow on a full-time basis, with the objective to support sites across the country.

Role Overview
This Remote BMS Engineer role sits within Digital Services (Digital & Energy) at our Digital Operations Centre (DOC) in Glasgow, and works closely with Managers, Project Teams and our mobile BMS Service Engineers. Remote BMS Engineers must understand a range of different controls systems in use on our customer sites as well as the services we deliver. This team are the first remote attendance to any BMS issues where the buildings have remote service enabled, which can mean the difference between building closure or not.
Key activities
- Remotely manage, monitor and maintain BMS components and equipment, including sensors, controllers, actuators, and software systems
- Carry out maintenance checks on various sites within the portfolio
- Provide technical assistance and support to clients and colleagues regarding their BMS systems and/or energy management service
- Identify opportunities for improvement in energy use and BMS functionality
- Review and update BMS strategy, alarms and graphics
- Prepare proposals and quoting of works as required
- Develop a strong knowledge base of the various BMS systems we support in order to assist our field colleagues, local technicians, clients and 3rd parties
- Prepare Reports as per the customer’s requirements
- Undertake training as required to maintain a current working knowledge of Equans Digital solutions including BMS Services, Utilities and Energy Management, IoT and Smart Solutions.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guild / BTEC / NVQ in Electrical or BEMS
- Knowledge and Experience of at least one of the following (additional training can be provided depending on the area requirements at a later date):
- Trend
- Tridium
- Distech
- Siemens
- Niagara
- Knowledge & experience of HVAC and mechanical systems in a commercial environment
- Must be able to understand IT systems and networking
- BPSS vetting
