Remote Clinical / Counselling Psychologist – Young People

Fully Remote | UK-only | Permanent, Part-Time Opportunity

(16 hours/week – 2 days: Thursdays & Fridays, 11:30–20:00, consistent schedule)

Salary & Benefits

£63,100 per annum (pro-rated for part-time* | Excellent Bupa benefits). Based on full-time equivalent; part-time pay administered accordingly.

About the Role

At Bupa, our mission is clear: We help people live longer, healthier, happier lives. In our Young People Talking Therapy Team, you’ll join a team delivering safe, evidence-based therapy to young people (aged 11–17) via secure video, impacting both individuals and families.

Remote but connected, you’ll work within a cohesive clinical team, receiving regular supervision, skill-building opportunities, and collaboration on improving mental health support for young people and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe individual mental health therapy via remote video. • Conduct assessments and evidence-based care planning. • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with families, schools and support networks. • Maintain safeguarding standards, manage risk and deliver end-to-end support plans. • Contribute to wellbeing initiatives and client-centred referral pathways (direct or group-based where needed). • Participate in clinical supervision and team meetings for professional development. • Work closely with therapy colleagues to ensure seamless care. • Use IT systems for clinical records and documentation.



What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (accredited by the BPS).
  • Registration with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
  • 1+ years’ post-qualification experience in child and adolescent mental health (ages 11–17).
  • Strong background delivering therapy remotely/online.
  • Excellent communication and on-line consultation skills.
  • Professional mindset with caring, empathy and adaptability to diverse client needs.

Tertiary

  • Organisational acumen for independent caseload management.
  • Confidence in adapting to different presenters (young people, parents, schools).
  • Comprehensive experience with clinical/business IT and patient records.
  • Proven commitment to CPD (Continuing Professional Development).

  • Additional specialist therapy qualifications (CBT, system therapy, etc.).
