As a tutor for Cosmo 1:1, you’ll enjoy a flexible and consistent schedule—the timing and frequency of your lessons are set by you. In this role, you’ll be teaching ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum.
About the Role
This is the perfect opportunity for experienced educators to connect with students in an after-school setting. You’ll meet your students at a set time each week for one-on-one 50-minute lessons.
As a Cosmo 1:1 tutor, you’ll:
- Build a welcoming and fun learning environment for your student.
- Help them grow while serving as a reliable role model.
- Ensure students come to class well-prepared, on time, and with a passionate and kind demeanor.

Responsibilities
- Provide personalized one-on-one instruction tailored to each student’s needs.
- Update your availability in the Cosmo App promptly.
- Prepare appropriate lesson materials aligned with the student’s age and ability.
- Submit lesson feedback after each class.
- Communicate professionally with both parents and students.
- Attend all classes on time in a professional and distraction-free setting.
- Maintain open communication with Cosmo staff.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3 years of experience teaching ELA for K-12 students.
- Familiarity with K-12 ELA standards and curriculum.
- Experience teaching ESL learners (inÉ an exception to this rule and for the time suggest experienced educators from Asia.
- A teaching qualification (preferred, but not required).
- Fast and reliable internet connection with access to a Windows or Mac PC (minimum CPU: 6000).
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1.
- Availability between 8 AM – 2 PM GMT (Mon-Fri) or 5 AM – 2 PM GMT (Weekends).
- Minimum of 20 weekly available slots.
- Access to a private and quiet teaching space.
- A passion for helping students learn.
- Currently based in the UK.
