Join Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp), the premier online learning platform connecting K-12 students across the US, Canada, and Asia with tutors from top universities and colleges to deliver personalized lessons. As a tutor, you will:
- Set your own flexible and consistent schedule
- Teach ESL students in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum
- Provide fun, supportive, and engaging one-on-one 50-minute sessions (five times per week)
This role is ideal for experienced educators who want to make a meaningful impact after school. Your students will depend on you to create a warm and motivating learning environment. As a tutor, you will embody reliability, preparedness, and a kind, passionate approach forever course.
About the Role
An independent contractor position, offering the potential to earn $20 USD per class, plus additional incentives.

Cosmo Teacher Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, 1:1 instruction tailored to each student
- Upload availability shifts via the Cosmo App promptly and accurately
- Prepare age/ability-appropriate materials for every lesson
- Submit completion surveys after each session
- Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
- Attend classes on time, in a quiet, private setting
- Maintain open lines of communication with Cosmo staff
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years’ teaching experience in K-12 ELA
- Knowledge of K-12 ELA standards and curricula
- Experience teaching ESL learners
- Teaching qualification (preferred but not required)
- Stable, fast internet + Windows/Mac PC (inc. minimum 6000 CPU)
- Comfortable committing 6+ months with Cosmo 1:1
- Availability 8AM–6PM GMT (Mon–Fri) or 5AM–2PM GMT (Sat–Sun)
- Minimum 20+ weekly availability hours
- Access to a quiet, private teaching space
- Located in the UK (work remotely for US/EU students)
- Passion for empowering student learning and development
