Join an ambitious project to craft the narrative backbone of a sci-fi CRPG where players recruit a diverse crew and explore the galaxy.

This role focuses on developing immersive stories, compelling dialogue, and rich world-building that bring characters and settings to life. You will collaborate closely with designers and developers to ensure narrative elements enhance gameplay and player engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Write engaging character-driven stories and branching dialogue for a sci-fi CRPG
  • Develop unique personalities, backstories, and arcs for a diverse cast of companions
  • Collaborate with the design team to integrate narrative with gameplay mechanics and quest structures
  • Create lore, world-building content, and in-game documents that enrich the setting
  • Revise and iterate on scripts based on feedback from the creative team
  • Ensure consistency of tone, voice, and narrative style throughout the game

Skills And Requirements

  • Proven experience writing for video games, preferably RPGs or narrative-driven titles
  • Strong understanding of interactive storytelling, branching dialogue, and player agency
  • Ability to create memorable characters and compelling sci-fi settings
  • Excellent command of written English, with attention to tone and pacing
  • Familiarity with game development pipelines and collaborative writing tools
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Passion for science fiction and role-playing games
  • Availability for remote, project-based collaboration
