Role Brief

We are seeking experienced and dedicated General Practitioners (GPs) to join our remote healthcare team. This virtual GP role provides consultations across the UK, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction. The position requires a minimum commitment of 4 sessions per week.

Available schedules:

  • Monday 10am–2pm
  • Tuesday 10am–2pm
  • Friday 5–9pm
  • Thursday 5pm–9pm
  • Friday 9am–5pm
  • Saturday 1pm–5pm

(Note: Availability may include evenings and weekends, depending on shift needs.)


Responsibilities

Clinical Consultations

  • Provide remote consultations via video, phone, or secure messaging platforms.
  • Diagnose, manage, and treat a range of medical conditions within the scope of primary care.
  • Prescribe medications and offer appropriate health advice.
  • Deliver preventative health services, including:
    • Health screenings
    • Lifestyle advice

Collaboration & Referrals

  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and services for seamless patient care.
  • Refer patients to specialist investigations or secondary care when clinically required.
  • Collaborate with third-party healthcare providers to maintain service consistency.

Compliance & Governance

  • Adhere to GMC (General Medical Council) guidelines and clinical governance standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including:
    • Audits
    • Clinical reviews

Patient Advocacy

  • Promote patient-centred care with active involvement in decision-making.
  • Support patients in navigating healthcare systems and accessing appropriate services.

Training & Development

  • Engage in regular training sessions and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) activities.
  • Stay updated on advancements in telemedicine and digital healthcare.

Requirements

Essential

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a valid practitioner licence.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in:
    • General practice
    • Primary care
  • Experience or interest in digital healthcare/telemedicine (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport remotely.
  • Proficiency in using:
    • Electronic health record systems
    • Telehealth platforms
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

Profile Requirements for Interview Stage

If successful at interview stage, the following compliance documents will be required:

  • Two official leadership work references (from leadership-level email addresses or HR) with full names, job titles, and email addresses.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK jurisdiction (e.g., a photographic copy of your passport or visa, if applicable).
  • Certification document(s) of your professional qualifications.
  • Confirmation of your GMC number.
  • Copy of Revalidation (date of last completion and next due date).
  • Evidence of Hepatitis B immunity.
  • Copy of DBS check (disclosed and barred service check).
  • Proof of Performers List.
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
  • Safeguarding Certificate.
