I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role
This is a genuine 360 opportunity where you'll take ownership of building and growing your own desk. (180 also available)

You'll have complete freedom to develop your market, with no territorial restrictions or internal competition over clients.
What They're Looking For
They're interested in recruiters who have:
- At least 2-3 years' experience in a 360 recruitment role or 18 months' in a delivery or resourcer role.
- A successful track record recruiting within Tech or SaaS.
- Consistent billings of £150k+.
- Experience building and developing their own desk.
- Strong client development and business generation skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage their own pipeline.

- 20% commission on all billings.
- 25% commission once you exceed your monthly target.

- A structured ramp-up period with realistic expectations.
- High-quality marketing-generated leads and inbound opportunities.
- Access to LinkedIn Recruiter and the latest recruitment technology.
- The freedom to introduce new tools and ideas that help you perform.
- Clear progression into leadership or team-building opportunities as the business grows.

Their Culture
My client isn't your typical recruitment agency.
- There are no pointless daily meetings, no unnecessary KPIs, and no expectation to spend every Friday in the pub.
- They treat experienced recruiters like professionals. If you're delivering results, you'll be trusted to manage your own time and run your desk your way.
- They have weekly catch-ups, collaborate when needed, celebrate success together, and genuinely support each other—but they believe great recruiters don't need to be constantly managed.
- Whether your ambition is to become a top-billing individual contributor or eventually build and lead a team, they'll support you in getting there.
